IT’S TIME FOR INSTALLATION!
We are so excited to help you enjoy your new luxury vinyl! You will love how smooth the installation process is, and make sure to do the following:
- Remove all furniture, electronics, wall hangings from the rooms & closets receiving new luxury vinyl flooring.
- Take down doors & trim from the rooms & closets as well.
- Designate an area for worker's tools, saws, and sawing luxury vinyl pieces as needed.
- Make arrangements for pets & children to be out of the rooms & worker's area on your installation day.
Luxury Vinyl Installation Checklists
When your home is prepared for every step, your family will experience minimal displacement during this exciting time! Follow these helpful steps before, during, and after luxury vinyl installation.
Many luxury vinyl options offer floating floor installation capability, which means the existing floors may not need to be removed and disposed of! Once your subfloor has been professionally assessed, you are cleared for installation. Bring the luxury vinyl boxes in to acclimate to the household humidity level and temperature for at least 48 hours beforehand.
Make sure to be on-hand during the luxury vinyl installation process to help answer any questions that arise for your crew. Establish the adequate ventilation that your installers recommend to offset any adhesives if a glue-down installation is suggested.
Wait the recommended period before walking on the new luxury vinyl floors. Floating floor installations will be ready for light traffic the same day they go down! Always lift furniture or use rollers when returning pieces to avoid scratches. We also recommend using felt protectors under the legs and corners of heavier furniture.
