- Place area rugs with rug pads underneath on your floors
- Use felt protectors under heavy furniture legs
- Keep pet nails trimmed & pet hair brushed regularly to reduce the amount of pet dander on the tile surface

Best Tile Care Practices
Maintaining tile inside your active home is easier than you may realize! By removing dirt and debris effectively, plus properly treating spills and stains that occur, you can help extend the beauty of your tile floors.
You can easily clean spills with clean, dry white cloths or paper towels as promptly as you can. Start blotting the spill with the cloth or paper towels, starting from the perimeter and working towards the center of the spill. Repeat this step as needed until all liquid has been absorbed and removed from the surface.
Use a gentle tile-specific cleaner to spot treat any visible stain, following the manufacturer’s directions closely. You can easily wet-mop or use a Swiffer WetJet your tile for an efficient deep clean. To clean any stains to visible grout work, use a grout brush and a grout specific cleaner to touch up these areas.
Sweep your tile daily or as frequently as possible with a gentle bristle broom to remove dirt, debris, pet dander, and other particles before they become abrasive. You can also use a vacuum without a beater bar, or a robot vacuum cleaner, to help clean the surface. Always review your tile manufacturer’s warranty before investing in a vacuum.
